What I’ve Done

CATA Community Garden

I supported a local community garden by participating in maintenance such as pruning, planting, weeding, and harvesting.

Resilient Roots Community Garden

I supported a local community garden by participating in maintenance such as pruning, hauling brush, raking, and weeding, and repairing garden beds.

Meals on Wheels Volunteer

I effectively provided special meals to a number of Salem county residents. I also assisted in the meal assembly process alongside the head chef. My duties included packaging cold packs, preparing hot meals, and kitchen clean up while ensuring quality and safety control of the prepared meals.

Food Bank of South Jersey

I participated in the distribution of meals to over 200 families in the Lindenwold, New Jersey area. I also distributed meal bags for Thanksgiving to community members in the Camden, New Jersey area.

Live Healthy Salem County
Research Assistant

I assisted in data collection with an aim to better understand the food landscape in Salem County, New Jersey. The collected data includes grocery store purchases, participation in federal nutrition support services, and quality of food markets in Salem County.

Get Fit Trainer

Customized fitness routines to engage participants with developmental and cognitive disabilities.

Blood Pressure Screener

I oversaw a blood pressure screening table where I performed blood pressure screening and educating the public on blood pressure management and disease prevention at the Glassboro Municipality Safety Day.
